The death of Kian delos Santos is a tragedy. If the police officers are found guilty of abusing their authority then they have to be punished with the full force of the law. His death is a tragedy indeed but what is more tragic is how his death is being used by the Liberal party.
We all should be seeking for justice for Kian and his family and that should be the national focus. Instead the Liberal party has co-opted this tragedy and used it as a political tool. Senator Risa Hontiveros is the person leading the Liberal party’s attempt to politicize the death of an innocent minor for political gain. If Senator Hontiveros and the Liberal party really want justice for Kian delos Santos then why is she obstructing justice?
The key to any judicial proceeding to give Kian and his family justice is the presence of witnesses. There are 3 key witnesses the Public Attorney’s Office are requesting to take custody of but they are being withheld and controlled by the Liberal party. Senator Hontiveros’ explain her action by questioning the credibility and motives of the PAO even though it was Kian’s parents themselves who sought the help of the PAO. Senator Hontiveros and the Liberal party are again placing themselves on a pedestal made of Kian’s dead body to proclaim themselves the only people willing and capable of bringing justice for Kian. I cannot believe the arrogance, the audacity and the callousness of the Liberal party in going against the wishes of Kian’s parents because they feel they know better? Fuck you!
Even the parent of one of the witness have publicly asked Senator Hontiveros to turnover their kids to the appropriate office. How can a Senator act in such wanton disregard for decency, authority and justice? The answer is simple, she is part of the evil machinery of the Liberal party. This party has been built by the bones of dead people. President Abnoy Aquino would not have won the president had his mother not died. The Filipino people was so enamoured by the fake narrative of Cory Aquino that they fell for the trap. Leni Robredo would not have won the Vice Presidency had her husband not died. The Filipino people was again fooled to believe the carefully crafted and manicured life of Jesse Robredo. Now the Liberal party is again trying to take advantage of another death – this time that of a minor. They want to use Kian, his family’s loss and the Filipino people’s tragedy as a pawn in their political game. Once again the Filipino people are being served a sad story of death with a liberal serving of politics.
